Qantas Singapore lounge review

admin · April 22, 2018 · Leave a Comment

Hi all

On my recent trip to Singapore, l got to experience Qantas’ relatively new lounge. I’ve heard many good things about it, and it certainly lives up to its hype! Singapore has amazing food, and Qantas has delivered – their laksa was top notch!

Note: Qantas has announced they will construct a new first class lounge and expand the existing business class lounge – see this post!

Key details:

  • Opening hours are from 2:30pm to 11pm every day
  • In Terminal 1, turn left after immigration, and then up the escalators to the airport lounge level. After you reach the top of the escalators, turn left, and you should see it straight ahead at the end of the corridor

  • Who can enter: Qantas First Class and Business Class passengers, Jetstar Business Max Fare, Qantas Platnium One / Platnium / Gold travelling on a Qantas / Emirates or oneworld flight, or Qantas Club member travelling on a Qantas / Jetstar flight. Eligible oneworld members may access the lounge.

Dining

Wow! With menus designed by Neil Perry (famous chef in Australia with quality restuarants such as Rockpool / Spice Temple), it certainly doesn’t disappoint! There is both an a la carte menu, and a buffet area which has hot food, salad bar, and desserts.

I ordered the Chicken Laksa – my word!  Well worth having – l polished this off with ease.

The mango and sago pudding was also very delicious. I went through two on this trip! If l didn’t eat so much on this trip, l would have went for a third!

You can either eat at the communal tables with other travellers, or you can eat at the separate tables if you prefer that.

Drinks

Probably the only downside for this lounge – there are cocktail makers in the lounge, but limited interactions / advice on cocktails, and it all felt pre-made (that is, they just added the spirits to a premixed drink). The wines and beers weren’t too bad though!

Other facilities (showers etc)

After a long day in Singapore, with the humidity and all, l definitely needed to have a shower – there are ample amount of showers in the lounge (l didn’t have to wait even though the lounge was relatively busy). I am also a huge stickler for cleanliness, and the facilities were very clean. I love the Auroa Aspar’s spa products, they are great! The showers and the bathroom were modern and big. Well worth having a shower!

Overall, if you are travelling through Changi Airport, this definitely is a must-visit lounge!

As always, feel free to send me an email or post a comment if you have any questions. Happy to answer anything (well, nearly anything hehe).
