From: Hong Kong
To: Sydney
Cabin: FirstClass
Rating: 8.5/10
Airplane: Airbus A380
You may be wondering how a seat which hasn’t changed much in the past 10 years (the first Qantas A380 flew in 2008) got such a high rating – well, the Qantas First Class inflight experience is top notch, and the seat itself is one of the best which doesn’t have sliding doors (which l prefer!).
Airbus A380
There are 12 Qantas A380 which flies on a number of routes to and from Sydney or Melbourne (e.g. Sydney to Singapore to London, or Melbourne to LA).
There are 14 “suites” which are in a 1-1-1 configuration at the front of the main deck. There is plenty of space at the front, and you can go up the staircase to the upperdeck, you will see the self service bar which can be used by both business and first class passengers.
There is a refurbishment expected for all A380 plane, which should be completed by the end of 2020 – not much more you can do to improve this product!
Before the flight!
Being in first class and in Hong Kong, l checked out The Pier – definitiely a good tart to the trip! Read my detailed review in Part 1, and Part 2 here. There is also the Qantas Hong Kong lounge you can visit.
On the flight!

What are your thoughts on the Business v First Class service on Qantas – any differences? If so, noticeable? Thanks!
No significant difference, but more attentive service (akin to what is expected on airlines such as Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific!)
