Qantas announced construction of a new First Lounge, and an expansion of the existing Business Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport. In our view, the former was long overdue, especially with A380’s stopping over in Singapore, and the latter is needed given how crowded the existing lounge can get, but as they say, better late than never!
Key details are:
- Development to start in April 2019
- The Singapore First Lounge will offer seating for 240 customers, with a la carte dining with Asian-inspired menus.
- The Qantas First and Business Lounges will offer combined seating for more than 800 customers.
- Expected to open towards the end of 2019
